Kuala Lumpur, capitol city of Malaysia

Malaysia is a multi-cultural muslim country, with native Malay, Hindu (Indian) and Buddist (Chinese) making up the population. Recent tensions caused the Indians to riot in November in Kuala Lunpur, against government policies that favour Native Malays for subsidized housing and government jobs.

We stayed for four nights, it's a big, busy city that you get caught up in.

Street views, yes the cars just drive through the mobs of people.

The view of the street at dusk below our hotel, the Season's View.

An outdoor bar, where the men are indulged with excessive attention from the servers who sit with them. It was quite entertaining and they actually played some hip-hop.

To be fair, we got some atttention from other patrons...this is the cook who worked across the street and came over on his break, and a local fellow who insisted on buying us a beer.

The famous Petronas towers, until recently the tallest buildings in the world.

A building shaped like a traditional Malaysian drum.

Sunrise reflected on an office tower across from another hotel we stayed at, the Capitol..

A gymnastics performance at a huge mall. I am looking down from the fifith floor. Each foor probably had a thousand stores or kiosks. It was a bit overwhelming, it took Lizzie and I an hour to find a PC place, even with the help of directories and people pointing the way.

Twenty golden hula-hoops.
