Photo essay:  Rooftop views

Finishing up a photography course and need to choose six of these eight photos for a photo essay.  Which two should go?

Enjoying Hajj

Silver Sands Private Beach - a long way from our compound but so relaxing.  A hundred riyal for the day and no abayas necessary; priceless.

Out for dinner at Maggiano's Italian restaurant with Natalie, Allison, Deborah, Michelle and JosieAnn.

At the tea emporium - best part, it's only a  fifteen minute walk from home.

This is one of the guarded, barricaded and barbed wire entrances to our compound.   Saudia City is one of the older compounds and is lacking in charm to say the least.  But we definately feel secure!

Old Jeddah

Boat Trip on the Red Sea

Beach Shots

Jeddah City Landmarks

Around Jeddah

Behind this dreary door surprisingly there are three floors of sparkling boutiques offering massages, facials, manicures and hair styling.

The bus, the teachers, the abayas....

Cheryl gets rebellious and flashes the world.

Mohira makes a call.

This is the chop square mosque where justice is administered via machete.

We are on holidays and shopping!  Life is good!
